What is the Process to Install a Security System in your home?

The initial step in the process of establishing your home’s security is an on-site security evaluation of your home and a discussion of the specific security concerns you have. Our expert Security Consultants can design a system to fit your current needs and budget. Additionally, Johns Brothers Security includes in its system designs elements will can allow future expansion and technological updating as your needs change.

The equipment we install on a daily basis includes standard products such as door and window contacts, passive infrared motion sensors, glass break sensors, panic alarms, medical alert functions, remote controls, closed circuit television systems, a.ccess control systems, and fire detection devices. The sophistication of your security application is governed by your budget and the physical properties of your home.

Our full-time, licensed technicians, not subcontractors, will install all the equipment comprising your system. The protocols for operation, testing and maintenance are established with you at the installation, and require an operating telephone line unless you have opted for cellular service as your primary communication link. In order to finish installation, a form of permanent communication with our Central Monitoring Station is a necessity.

In the event of any monitored incident, intrusion or fire, and in accordance with your instructions, our UL approved Central Monitoring Station will notify you and the authorities in the fashion you’ve dictated, whether you and your family are home or not.

Our security professionals work with you to find the right solution for your security and fire protection needs. We take great pride in level of comfort and coverage our service provides to the families of Southeastern Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina.

Monitored systems in the Cities of Norfolk and Virginia Beach are required to be registered with the respective police departments. The registration forms as supplied by the cities are here.
