System Components

A Johns Brothers security system, whether a commercial or residential installation, incorporates Police, Fire, Medical (icons on the keypad) and Duress coding (high priority call) elements on the controlling key pads or remotes. These features are included in all our systems.

Responses to activation of the Police and Fire signals on the keypad or remote are controlled by the clients’ preferences, but customarily their signals require immediate dispatch of the respective department by the Johns Brothers Security Monitoring personnel.

Activating the Medical icon button can alert family members, the attending physician or whoever is included on the contact sheet. Duress coding generally involves the creation of a specific keypad-entered code which will ostensibly disarm the system and quiet it while actually transmitting a signal to our monitoring station who treat it as an extremely high priority call and dispatch the most dynamic and powerful police forces available.
